The Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre and the Mental Illness Fellowship of Victoria are proud to present:

 

Mental Health and Mental Illness in the Sudanese Communuity

 

When:   Saturday 9th August 10am - 3pm

Mental Health and Mental Illness in the Arabic Community 

 

When:   Sunday 10th August 10am - 3pm

 

Where:  187-189 High St. Thomastown, 3074 

 

These workshops explore important issues including Arabic and Sudanese conceptualisations of mental health and mental illness, barriers to service utilisation, and indigenous knowledge & coping mechanisms. They're also a great opportunity for service providers to meet community members with the view of establishing relationships and increasing mutual understanding.   

 

The workshops are free and lunch is included. Please see attached flyers for more information.
