From: Nadia Clark [mailto:nadia at COTAWA.ASN.AU] Sent: Wednesday, 23 July 2008 8:45 AMTo: ddarlaston-jones at nd.edu.auSubject: Housing Conference
Dear Dr. Darlaston-Jones,
As you are aware the issue of meeting the housing needs of older Australians is increasingly being recognised as a matter of urgency requiring a coordinated effort across all levels of government, and for the not for profit and business sectors. For this reason, COTA (WA) is holding a mini-conference on Friday 22nd August 2008.
This event - with its focus on how to deliver affordable housing for older Australian - will build on, and complement, the COTA over 50s forum held in May considering older people's housing aspirations and the Older Persons Affordable Housing Forum held on 1st July 2008 at Old Parliament House, Canberra. Participants will include government representatives, non-government organisation leaders, property developers, financiers and other key decision makers in the affordable housing arena.
I have attached information about this event and a copy of the registration form for the conference. We would be most appreciative if you would also kindly circulate the attached information to your staff and forward a copy of the information on to anyone who you think will be interested in attending.
Many thanks,
Nadia Clark
