A fantastic opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced
professional to join our Library Services.

As Team Leader, you will provide leadership and supervision for our
Children's and Youth Services Team and coordinate and conduct regular
programs and activities for young people who use our Libraries,
including: preschool storytime, early literacy programs and after school
and school holiday activities.   

You will also maintain and manage the ongoing development of our
children's and youth collections and contribute to the library website.

Our Libraries are one of our most popular and often used facilities in
our local area with 42,000 members and over 2,700 visitors each day.  We
provide high quality collections and programs for our users and part of
your role will be to ensure that the Children's and Youth collections
and programs are well suited to the particular needs and interests of
our community. 

To be successful in this role you will be able to lead and motivate a
professional team and have a passion for developing a love of reading
and life long learning in children and young people.

You will need to be available for evenings and weekend work.


 Essential:


*	Tertiary qualifications (University Degree) in Library and
Information Science or relevant field. 
*	Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating programs
for young people 
*	Experience in policy development and strategic planning 
*	Highly developed oral and written communication skills 
*	Demonstrated ability to lead professional staff 
*	Effective use of Microsoft Office products 
*	Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service 
*	Effective complaints handling skills and experience 
*	Current NSW Drivers Licence 
*	Meet requirements of:- Working with Children Check and
Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998


Desirable:


*	 Public library experience, preferably in the provision of
services to children and youth 
*	Experience in selecting appropriate materials and developing
Children and Youth Collections 
*	Experience with Library Management Systems 
*	Experience in the use of social media and online services to
promote services and connect with community

Salary is within the range of $1,246.74 to $1,342.58 per week.

This position is subject to a 'Working with Children Check'.
