Technician

 

The City of South Perth has a vacancy for a full-time Library Technician
based at our new South Perth Library.

 

This position is responsible for providing specialised technical advice
and maintaining Library systems and IT facilities, including Amlib, FE
Technologies RFID and PC Reservation software.  

 

The library service is experiencing a busy and exciting period with the
recent completion of our innovative new building.   We are looking for a
dynamic and enthusiastic person with sound customer service skills, who
is willing to contribute to the success of our library service.

 

Suitably qualified people are encouraged to apply.

 

Selection Criteria

 

*         Recognised qualification conferring eligibility for associate
membership of the Australian Library and Information Association

*         Comprehensive knowledge of AMLIB Library Management software,
MS Office and associated applications.

*         Sound knowledge of cataloguing and classification tools.

*         High level of written and verbal communication skills.

*         High level of customer services skills and experience.

*         Minimum of 3 years experience in a public library environment

 

 

The salary range applicable is $55,031 to $57,936 pro rata. The City
offers a generous superannuation scheme including employer contributions
of up to 15%.
