Job Opportunity Archives Co-ordinator
An exciting opportunity exists to join the recently established
University Information Management (UIM) team as we lead the way in
information management at Curtin University of Technology. We are
looking for an information management professional who is interested in
a challenging and rewarding career to fill this ongoing position.
The Archives Co-ordinator works closely with the University Archivist
and other members of the UIM team in the establishment of appraisal
guidelines and disposal procedures to ensure archival information assets
are appropriately protected, preserved, described, and made available to
the University and the wider community and to ensure that University
Archives activities are aligned with the UIM Operational Plan, the
Curtin Information Plan and the flow Strategy.
Under Curtin's newly revised Record Keeping Plan and associated
policies, the Archives Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the
provision of inactive and archival information management services to
the University to meet information management objectives whilst ensuring
compliance with legislative requirements. This includes supervising and
guiding information staff to provide an effective, efficient and
practical inactive and archival records service to assist the University
manage its inactive information assets.
This role provides a significant contribution to the achievement of the
University's global information management agenda, in support of the
University's strategic, teaching, research and service goals by working
closely with the University Archivist to establish, manage and promote a
comprehensive Archives service at Curtin.
