A one day seminar presented by CSU, ALIA and NLA
on Tuesday 18th November 2008, NLA Theatre
8:45 am - 5pm
This seminar, the third in a series organised by Charles Sturt
University <http://www.csu.edu.au/> and supported by the National
Library of Australia

overview of what the government focus on maximising the potential of
Australia's digital culture means for libraries and information agencies
in strategy and in practice.
The morning will consider the big picture with two keynote speakers, Mia
Garlick, the Assistant Secretary, Digital Economy, Department of
Broadband, Communications & Digital Economy and Professor Trevor Barr of
Swinburne University, a leading commentator on telecommunications issues

The afternoon session will move the emphasis to libraries and the
opportunities that this focus on the digital world offers. Speakers
