PROJECT MANAGER: short-term contract position 

Callaway Centre, School of Music, The University of Western Australia

General staff appointment at Level 7 (FTE$61,452pa; $ 31.41 per hour)

Fixed term for 2 months; the contract may extend beyond this

Days per week are negotiable

We seek an experienced project manager for an ARC-funded project that is
being run through the Callaway Centre in the School of Music at The
University of Western Australia. This project is developing the Eileen
Joyce Archive, which is held in the Callaway Centre. The project has
already been running for a year. Up to this point we have completed
digital transfer of the EJ sound recordings; and we have done a lot of
work on cataloguing the print documents, for which we are using the
university library's cataloguing software. We need a project manager to
co-ordinate the remainder of the project, including the digital transfer
of print material (the project manager could be involved in this
himself/herself). Copyright is another key issue that will need to be
dealt with, although we have established excellent links with the
National Library and may choose to adopt the NLA's copyright policies
and practices. The project manager will also monitor the budget; in
summary, he/she will co-ordinate the remainder of the project.
