The Local Organising Committee are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 4th WA Transcultural Mental Health and 2nd Australasian Refugee Conference are NOW OPEN. Abstracts will be accepted on various themes and can also be submitted as a symposium. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS CONFIRMED
We are excited to announce our two keynote speakers Dr Annie Sparrow and Dr Kwame McKenzie.

Dr Annie Sparrow, MBBS, MRCP, FRACP, MPH
Dr Sparrow is Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Human Rights Program in the Department of Global Health, teaching human rights and humanitarian aid in complex emergencies.


Dr Kwame McKenzie, psychiatrist, researcher and policy advisor - is an international expert on the social causes of mental illness, suicide and the development of effective, equitable health systems. He is an Advisor to the Mental Health Commission of Canada and sat on its Service Systems Advisory Committee. He is credited with being pivotal to the prominence of health equity in Canada’s first National Mental Health Strategy – aimed at improving services for immigrant, refugee, ethno-cultural and racialized groups.
