Subject: Second call for abstracts: Community, Work and Family Conference Tampere 2011
Dear All,
The fourth international Community, Work and Family Conference will
take place on 19-21 May 2011 at University of Tampere, Finland. The
conference intends to stimulate debate on current issues,
controversies, developments and cross-national research related to
community, work and family and their interface.
The conference focuses on a number of contemporary and emerging themes such as
* Active citizenship
* Care: ideas, practices and policies
* Flexibility, security and restructuring the life course
* Climate change, communities and sustainable work
* Work, family and life integration
* Globalization, insecurity and localities
* Diversity of families
* Ruptured structures and everyday realities
* Ageing, gender and work
* Restructuring organizations, management and well-being
that present the challenges and opportunities for communities,
organisations and families in the era of rapid changes and
transitions. The conference has special focus on the interactions
between actors, structures and theories. The orientation is
multidisciplinary, and different theoretical, methodological and
empirical orientations and issues in relation to community, work and
family are welcomed.
The international community, work and family conference is connected
to the Journal Community, Work and Family (CWF) published by Taylor &
Francis.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts between 250-500 words should be submitted online. Time for
submissions is from 8th March 2010 until 30th September 2010.
Abstracts will be peer reviewed. Selected abstracts will be announced
by 30th November 2010.
