Thanks for posting this Dawn - we were just discussing here at APS who we might want to nominate and on which particular topics. There are several community psychologists who I think could make an excellent contribution on some of the 'core challenges' such as strengthening communities/supporting families/social inclusion, preventative health (odd term!), sustainability/climate change, early childhood education, and future directions for rural communities.

Maybe we can discuss this at the Community College's audioconference (starting in 30 minutes!!)

Suggestions welcome.

As I heard someone say as Archie Roach was singing in Federation Square at lunchtime today, 'this has been a good day for our hearts'.

Have pasted the 2020 site for people to nominate themselves to take part in
the Federal government's 2020 planning exercise. They will select 1000
people to do this. Please make sure you and lots of other women put their
names up and do not wait till someone asks them or fail to nominate because
they are not sure they have the skills to contribute. So fill it in if you
have any interest and capacity to plan Australia's future in the ten areas
outlined on the page,'covering the economy, the nation's infrastructure, our

environment, our farmers, health care, indigenous Australians, the arts,
national security, how we improve our system of government, and how we
strengthen our communities and ensure nobody is left out of Australia's
future.' Show the government there are many women with expertise who want to

contribute and let them make the choices.
go for it!
