Please see below for two librarian fixed term contract opportunities with the Curtin Library, Bentley Campus.

You are welcome to apply for one or both. Noting the roles are in two different teams and one is 1.0 FTE and the other .4 FTE. Start date is negotiable but as soon as possible is preferred.

Expression of Interest (2 positions) - Librarian, Learning Success (HEW 6) and Librarian 1.0 FTE and Librarian, Research Services  (HEW 6) 0.4 FTE both positions are fixed term until Friday 27th March 2026

Curtin University Library is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for two fixed term contracts: Librarian (Learning Success) 1.0 FTE and Librarian (Research Services) 0.4 FTE. If you have completed the Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Science or will complete the course by the end of 2025 then we'd love to hear from you.

About the roles

The Librarian PD is attached.

The Librarian, Learning Success:

  This position plays a key role in supporting the University's teaching and learning by:

  *   Coordinating and overseeing the Library's Reading List service
  *   Liaising with academic and teaching staff
  *   Developing and updating web content
  *   Supporting the creation and adoption of Open Educational Resources (OERs)
  *   Participating in projects to enhance teaching and learning
  *   Developing and delivering information literacy to students via workshops as well as online resources
  *   Delivering high quality, client-focused information services

The Librarian, Research Services:

 This position plays a key role in supporting the University's research support by:

  *   Process institutional repository records to ensure they are complete and accurate
  *   Adhere to relevant metadata standards and comply with copyright, embargoes, and Open Access policies

  *   Support workshops and training to assist in the implementation of new repository and profile platforms

  *   Assist in the development of learning material to aid the adoption of new platforms

  *   Participate in projects to enhance research skills development
  *   Support the acquisition and renewal of information resources

Your EOI should include your CV and  a brief statement (max 1 page) that addresses your skills, experience and interest in the position as well as whether you are applying for one or both of the roles. Please also indicate when you will/have completed the Graduate Diploma qualification and when you could commence in the role. Start date is negotiable but prefer as soon as possible.
