The Australian Law Librarians’ Association is excited to announce that our bi-annual conference, from 19-21 August 2026.
The ALLA Conference is the peak bi-annual professional development event for Australian law librarians. This year's theme Architecture of Information directly addresses the rapid transformation of legal information in the age of AI.
ALLA (Vic), the Victorian branch of ALLA, is offering two bursary opportunities for current library students across Australia. The bursary will cover half the cost of a student full conference registration ($284). To apply for a bursary, complete the application form here: https://www.austlawlib.org/students-work-experience. Applications close 31 July.
Spread over three days, students can attend single days or the whole event:
Wednesday 19 August 2026
Library tours and workshops, including Finding the Law Online workshop
Thursday 20 August 2026
Networking with law librarians and vendors, and a half-day collaborative workshop
Friday 21 August 2026
Panel sessions on topics such as AI literacy, law reform, treaty and the future librarian
