HI all

Face-to-face meet up for Perth students tonight 5pm, La Vita Cafe, Curtin
Perth students, we’d like to invite you to a face-to-face meet up with other students taking library and information science courses in Australia. The educators from the three universities that teach in our area have booked some tables at La Vita Cafe on Curtin’s main campus from 5pm. We’d love to see you there. We expect WA convenors from the Aust Soc Archivists and ALIA will also join us. This is an informal social occasion.

The RAILS conference moves from city to city each year. We hope this starts a mini-tradition and face-to-face meet-ups for students will be held during RAILS in years to come.

Join the RAILS **free** online conversation with industry leaders about research and practice
Tomorrow, you’re all invited to the **free** online moderated conversation on Wed 20 Nov 1130-1pm Perth time. Learn about the relationship between research and practice in a conversation between leaders in our field:, a university librarian, a state librarian, an archivist and a library academic who just left practice. Here’s the link to learn<https://railsconference.wordpress.com/satellite-rails-online-session/> more and to register.
