Join us for an exclusive Saturday opening of our new exhibition at the National Archives of Australia's WA Office,
Sea to suburbia: Western Australia in government photographs

Embark on a nostalgic journey from sea to suburbia through 4 decades of photographs capturing the people, places, and daily life of Western Australia.

Relish in iconic scenes of Western Australia: sunny beaches, scenic suburbs, thriving industries and meandering rivers. Be challenged by images that illustrate our changing attitudes to the environment and urban development and leave with a new understanding of what it means to be a 'West Australian'.

Highlighting the role of Australian government photographers in preserving our visual heritage, this fascinating exhibition will evoke memories and spark conversations.

Exclusive Saturday openings on Saturday 13 July, Saturday 2 November 2024 and Saturday 22 March 2025.
