Senior Librarian - Local History



  *   Level 7/8 - $79,904.40 to $89,332.59 (pro rata) based on skill and experience
  *   Fixed-Term, Part-Time position until July 2024

The Role:
The Senior Librarian contributes to the general daily operations and library and local history centre services and is responsible for the provision of specialist local studies knowledge, programs, services and collections that are of significance to the City of Vincent. The Senior Librarian educates and trains library users in the effective use of relevant software and technologies and oversees the promotion of the collection and manages key relationships with local individuals, community organisations and groups.


Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge and sound understanding of the State Records Act, copyright, FOI, archiving, digitisation and cataloguing principles, relevant heritage legislation and policies and issues and processes involved in cultural heritage management for local studies. The role also requires well developed written and verbal communication skills sufficient to interact successfully with a diverse range of clients through a variety of mediums.
