The City of Belmont is currently recruiting for a permanent part-time Specialist Collections.

About us:

About the role:
Are you a passionate leader with a love for delivering dynamic, relevant library collections to a community? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills, find a well organised collections database deeply satisfying, have an interest in museum collections too, and a passion for top notch readers advisory for all? Then we have the right role for you!
You will be working from the progressive Ruth Faulkner Library and Belmont Museum and will be responsible for maintaining and promoting a relevant and accessible library and museum collection for our local community. You will oversee the acquisition, cataloguing, and deselection of items across all formats, whilst providing leadership to and oversight of our enthusiastic library and museum team members as required.
Please note: It is a requirement of this position that the corporate uniform is worn whilst on duty.
About you:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate team player with demonstrated experience in collection development. Along with strong administrative skills it is essential that you are available for regular weekend shifts, have high level interpersonal/leadership skills, and are driven to deliver innovative library and museum services to our community.
