Hello all students,

We recently received a request from a PhD student at the University of South Australia who is hoping to attract students to participate in a study about practicum placements. I have copied the invitation email (see below) and attached the study's participant information sheet.

If you are interested in being part of the research please contact Anita directly on: anita.dewi at mymail.unisa.edu.au<mailto:anita.dewi at mymail.unisa.edu.au>.

Best wishes
Gaby

Curtin would like to pay respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members
of our community by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land on which the
Perth campus is located, the Whadjuk people of the Nyungar Nation; and on
our Kalgoorlie campus, the Wongutha people of the North-Eastern Goldfields.

Dear Curtin University students,

I hope you are well.

My name is Anita Dewi and am currently pursuing a PhD (CIS-LPHD-Computer and Information Science) in University of South Australia with a thesis project entitled "GLAMR placements from four perspectives: placement students, higher education program providers, placement host institutions, and accreditation bodies". This project has been approved by the University of South Australia's Human Research Ethics Committee (Ethics Protocol 204463).

It would be valuable to have you as one of my research participants and include your views about your experience with placements with an industry partner as part of my research data.

Would you be happy for us to meet virtually (via Zoom or Teams or other means of video or audio call), and reflect on your experience with me through an individual interview? The interview will last for about 30-45 minutes. For your reference, I have attached a document containing brief explanation about the research project. Please let me know if you're happy to do so. Thank you.

Best regards,
Anita
