An excellent information management opportunity with the WA state government exists for a student or recent graduate for 2 days paid work per week over the next 3 months.

The role is in the Information Management (Records) team, however, there is also scope for other work across the library side of this integrated team. The successful candidate will report to the Records Coordinator and will work alongside the full-time Records Officer.

Start Date:             The week of 18 July 2022
Contract details:               15 hours per week from 18 July to 28 October 2022
Work days:                      Completely flexible, candidate can choose (eg any two 7.5hr days or a series of part days up to 15 hours total)
Rate:                                   Pro-rata hourly rate to be advised
Location:                               Level 13, 1 William St, Perth

Duties:
•       Creates records files, conducts searches and performs audits.
•       Processes incoming/outgoing mail, including scanning mail and other correspondence.
•       Undertakes value identification, retention and destruction activities.
•       Acts as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support with the application of digital and non-digital information and records.
•       Provides mentoring and training to staff to transfer technical skills, share knowledge and ensure technical and professional standards of the department are upheld.
•       Undertakes projects as directed.
