ALIA HLA Lunchtime Seminar: Getting a job in a health library - how to maximise your chances through 'work integrated learning' programs

This session will include a panel of recent graduates who will talk about their student placements and graduate cadetships in health libraries.

Come along and hear about how their 'work integrated learning' experiences affected their employment prospects and career trajectories.  Health libraries may also learn about how these types of programs can be mutually beneficial and may offer solutions to their workforce planning dilemmas.

-      Katie Bagnall, Librarian at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and recent Masters Information Management graduate, Curtin University

-      Deirdre Mahony, Library Technician and recent UTS graduate, library placement at Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney

-      Eunice Ang, Library Cadet, Monash Health and Saara Kahkonen, NT Health Library, former Library Cadet, Monash Health
