Calling all LARIS students,

The Curtin Information Studies Club (CURTIS) is seeking currently enrolled students to join the CURTIS Committee!

CURTIS is the academic club representing the courses of Graduate Diploma in Information and Library Studies, Graduate Diploma in Records Management and Archives, Librarianship and Corporate Information Management and Master of Information Management. We are a not-for-profit and volunteer-run student organisation.

Membership benefits include access to our member-exclusive Facebook group and Discord server where we share job ads and other professional opportunities, as well as attending in-person catch-ups, online study groups, and submitting to our annual Zine. The CURTIS Committee meets online once a fortnight to plan and report on club activities. There is not a lot involved in running the club, but the more people we have, the more we can do for our members.

The following positions are currently vacant:

  *   Treasurer (financially supervises the club)
  *   Vice President (assists the President with managing social media and planning events)
You can also join as a General Committee member and support your fellow Committee members in whatever way you can.

We are a passionate (but very small) team and we’d particularly love to have new Committee members who are enrolled in the following courses to ensure that we are representing all of the current LIS courses being delivered by Curtin University:
