Hi All,
Water Corporation (WA) is looking for an experienced Support Officer - Records Management (Lvl 2) who has the following skills to join the team.
About the role:
We are seeking a Support Officer – Records Management to join our Records & Compliance Team. You will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective indexing, quality assurance and document management services to meet the Corporation’s business needs and provide administrative support services for the Records and Compliance Team.
What the role will offer:
* Responds to client enquiries efficiently and/or appropriately refers the enquiry.
* Responsible for routine and project end of life processing of inactive physical and electronic information, in line with approved retention & disposal schedules and other legislation for Metro and Regional areas.
* Assists with offsite storage box processing from offsite storage for new, retrieval and returns.
* Provides quality assurance checks on offsite storage databases metadata.
* Provides quality assurance checks and fixes to document/folder metadata in the Electronic Content Management System ECMS.
* Liaise with the business to ensure content is captured in accordance to guidelines and policy with correct naming conventions and retention periods assigned and.
* Provides back-up to the Officer Records Management (Lvl 3), ensuring the correct application of records indexing and classification standards are applied.
* Assists in carrying out correct digitisation processes.
* Assists with the development and delivery of Records and Information Management training programs to the business, as required.
Key skills and experience:
* Considerable experience and understanding of indexing, application of Keyword and Activity file classification principles and practices in line with the State Records Office Disposal Authorities, Standards and Guidelines.
* Quality assurance on document and folder metadata within an ECMS.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant Legislation and Standards.
* Demonstrated engagement addressing customer enquiries as well as training stakeholders in records management
* Demonstrated good computing skills, is able to use the Microsoft suite of systems and can demonstrate the capability to learn and apply the Corporations suite of business and technical computing applications.
* Considerable knowledge of information/records/document management principles and practices.
* Demonstrated experience with the extraction and analysis of data from the electronic records system.
