We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us here at South Perth in the newly created role of Digital Literacy Officer on a permanent, part-time basis.

The City of South Perth's talented workforce prides itself on delivering excellent service to the community, and is a unique and vibrant Western Australian municipality. Located only 4kms from the Perth CBD, the City borders the stunning Swan River on its Northern and Western boundaries, and boasts excellent access to important social, commercial and leisure infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking customer service, fulfilling general operational duties and contributing to the provision of an innovative Library Service to the community. The Digital Literacy Officer will assist customers in the use of library technology and resources and will support the library team in the preparation, promotion and delivery of digital literacy learning programs and activities.

To be successful in this position you need to demonstrate;

*         Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including public presentation and capability in program and report writing

*         Well-developed digital literacy skills and the ability to use a variety of software packages including MS Office applications, mobile technologies, web services, online resources and social media

*         Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated experience in a busy customer service environment

*         Demonstrated ability to organise own work, to work without direct supervision and ability to work in a team

*         Year 12 education level, Library Degree or Diploma, Education or Information Technology qualifications and/or Industry recognised qualification/s,

*         Working with Children Check

*         Current 'C' class driver's license

This permanent part-time position is required to work rostered hours and is subject to change with notice provided. It is a level 3 which attracts a salary range of $59,761 - $70,633 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
