[MCASIlaris] 2019 Group Placement Murdoch University WA

[MCASI Practicum Program]

Dear students

As some of you will be aware Murdoch University offered a three week group placement in 2017 and 2018. Students successful in securing a placement worked with special collections. This year Murdoch is taking a different approach.....

We have decided to take quite a different tack this time. We would like to do a User Experience(UX) project with some of our disabled students as a key user group. The practicum project would focus on doing a variety of UX activities such as touchstone tours of the Library, user journey mapping and observation. We are looking for practicum students who are passionate about providing a great client experience, keen to learn about the UX processes I mentioned, are good communicators who are keen to engage with others and contribute to our plans for service improvement. They will need to be mindful and passionate about providing inclusive library services.

If you have already submitted prac documentation listing Murdoch as a preference, if you could please confirm to me that you remain interested and revisit your resume to tailor it for this opportunity. Alternatively, if you have submitted and would like to change your preference to Murdoch, please also email me. If you are late or yet to enrol in the relevant S2/SP3 prac unit, you are also welcome to express interest.
