Branch Librarian

The City of South Perth's talented workforce prides itself on delivering excellent service to the community and we are currently seeking a Branch Librarian to join our team.

The City is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to undertake the position of Branch Librarian. This role supports the Manager Library Services with driving strategic initiatives that ensures the City's library services create a vibrant hub of activity at our two modern public libraries at South Perth and Manning.

In order to be successful in this senior position, you will need to demonstrate how you have utilised your skills and experience on a regular basis to manage teams and library services to:

*         Coordinate branch operational activities including staff management, library procedures, budget and financial resources, interior design and input into infrastructure maintenance and security
*         Contribute to the development and delivery of library programmes and services
*         Contribute to overall resource collection development and management to ensure that the library collection is balanced and meets the needs of the Community
*         Assist customers and employees requiring support with computers, mobile devices and other technology as required and contribute to digital literacy strategies and outcomes
*         Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and development of the Library Management System to meet the needs of customers, internal and external

This temporary position (parental leave January 2019 - January 2020) is a level 7 position that attracts a salary range of $80,959 - $92,706 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
