Subject: Students Day of Action this Monday March 26th

Dear Academic Members

Sorry for the late notice on this one.
The Curtin Guild and WA Guilds are holding a protest this Monday to oppose the latest Government announcements regarding a $2.2 Billion Dollar cut to the sector. This has big ramifications for Curtin University, it’s staff and students..

Would it be ok if you could please forward the below email to your students as a matter of urgency ?
It has also been requested for students not to be penalised if they choose to attend this important event.

On Monday the 26th WA University Guilds are banding together to hold a demonstration against the current and continued attacks on students by the federal government. The event will commence at 2pm at Solidarity Park in West Perth. Before the central demonstration, we will also be holding a small on-campus rally in front of the Guild building featuring a BBQ and Guild + Club speakers. This will commence from 12:30pm.

Please attend and help us stop these damaging cuts to the University Sector.
