Hi,
Some local students may be interested in attending this event (flyer attached) at one of our “local” libraries with historian Bobbie Oliver who works here at Curtin.
As Jennifer Olsen, the branch librarian, mentions in her email, it is a good opportunity to consider the breadth of community outreach in the profession.
This is not the usual type of thing we post to this Departmental email list. If you are interested in (mainly WA focussed, but not all) similar types of events, it would be useful to subscribe to the W.A. Information Network email list: https://lists.curtin.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/wain

Subject: RE: Library students may be interested
….
I have attached a flyer for an upcoming community presentation by Bobbie Oliver at the Cannington Library. It may well be of some interest to your students who live nearby. Certainly it would give them the opportunity to discuss why we offer special interest presentations that may attract smaller groups rather than always concentrating on high interest general presentations and the benefits versus the cons. If you could please distribute the flyer to your students, I would be much obliged.
With thanks and kind regards
