Subject: Student volunteer opportunities at ALIA NLS8

Dear Pauline,

My name’s Steven and I’m from the committee organising the 8th ALIA New Librarians’ Symposium (NLS8) on 23-25 June 2017 in Canberra http://nls8.com/<http://nls8.com/>

We’re seeking current LIS students from the Grad Dip and Master of Information Management courses at Curtin University who would be interested in taking up volunteer roles at NLS8. We think volunteering at a friendly symposium like NLS8 can be a welcoming way for students to gain experience and develop their list of accomplishments while undertaking their courses. They will need to be ALIA members (student membership is perfectly fine).

We’d also like them to submit a short video as part of the application, which will be a chance to practice some creative skills.
