Curtin DIS Alumni Committee would like to invite you to hear about what current Curtin Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students have been investigating in their studies. We'll be learning about their experiences in completing a postgraduate degree, research methodologies and writing process, and their choice of topics. Please see below who will be sharing their work, and what their topics are.
This is a great opportunity to learn about current and emerging issues in Information Studies in Australia and worldwide. The students will be covering a broad range of topics between them.
* Aditya Nugraha: Institutional Repositories in the Indonesian higher education sector.
* Claire Murphy: Is there a role for libraries in Massive Open Online Courses? The Curtin University Experience.
* Nadine Gibbons: Have Australian public libraries with Muslim Clients Modified Collection and Service Delivery Policies in Response to the Terrorist Events of September 11, 2001?
* Noreen Kirkman: A study of open access publishing by NHMRC grant recipients.
* Petra Dumbell: The impact of conference attendance on Australian academic librarians and libraries.
* Lisa Perriam: Inclusivity in the digital archives: determining the value, and describing the content, of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 in regards to disabled users of digital archives.
