Subject: ASA NSW 'Meet the Students' Evening

Dear Pauline,

I am writing as a representative of the Australian Society of Archivists Inc. On the evening of Wednesday 18 May we are planning to hold, as part of our monthly meetings and activities, a 'Meet the Students' evening to which we would like to invite all current archives and information management students. Many students in the Sydney region are likely to be studying at a distance and we would like, in a relaxed format, to give them an opportunity to:
·        meet fellow students in their field and to discuss issues in archives and learning
·        see what the ASA has to offer
·        meet people from likely archival employers and agency representatives
·        meet archivists with diverse professional experience.

The evening will commence with refreshments at 5.30pm, with the formalities starting at 6pm, and will conclude no later than 8pm. The meeting will be held in the Seminar room on level 2 of Fisher Library [Level 2 is one level below entrance], within the University of Sydney, Camperdown.

I am writing to you because we would appreciate your help in circulating the information about this event to your students and encouraging them to attend.
