RGIT Australia, situated in Melbourne's CBD, is looking for highly-motivated and dedicated Library interns to work within the Institute's Library.
This is an internship position. We are looking for two interns who are final year library students, or very recent graduates, who live in Melbourne.

The internship will be a part-time position for three months and will be an unpaid volunteer position. They will commence as soon as possible.

Full training, supervision and a personal project will be provided to the interns.

Successful Library interns will:

*         Have completed or be in the final year of a tertiary library, information management or knowledge management qualification

*         Be proficient in both written and spoken English

*         Be customer focused; prior proven customer service experience required

*         Have very good computer skills

*         Be able to follow directions well

*         Be enthusiastic and eager to learn

*         Have very good problem solving skills

*         Have strong attention to detail

*         Be able to cope with constant interruptions

*         Be a strong multi-tasker

*         Have an interest and ability to help students from many different cultures

*         Have completed cataloguing and reference interview units

*         Preferably have a strong interest in information literacy, collection development, acquisitions, cataloguing, research, liaising with teachers and online libraries
