LIBRARY & HERITAGE ASSISTANT - LIFESTYLE & LEARNING
Part time 60 hours fortnight
$50,652 - $61,373 pa pro rata


We have a fantastic opportunity available for someone wanting to kick-start their career within the library environment!  This exciting opportunity will be part of a team that will provide efficient and effective Library and Heritage services to the community, in particular educational programmes.

Under the direction of the Specialist Librarian - Projects you will assist with the planning, development and delivery of Library & Heritage early childhood literacy programmes, youth and adult activities and educational programmes including outreach programmes and incursions, as required.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

*         Carrying out counter duties including enrolments, issues, returns and reservations

*         Attending to public enquiries

*         Shelving and display of library materials

*         Data entry and maintenance of the Library Management System's interlibrary loans and reservation modules

*         Undertaking basic cataloguing and processing of local stock

*         Assisting with Home Service Deliveries as required

To be successful in this role you must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and groups, proven organisational and administrative skills and a high attention to detail.
