Subject: Invitation: Let's Talk Sydney... networking event for library studies students
Hello everyone
After the very successful ‘Let’s Talk’ events sponsored by Melbourne City Library Service which many of your students( and you) attended the event is coming to NSW. I hope you can assist by letting your students know
Not to be outdone ‘Let’s Talk’ is coming to Sydney in May 2019, this time sponsored by the Sydney City Library service. Like the Melbourne event Sydney’s ‘Let’s Talk’ is aimed primarily at all distance LIS students based in NSW from any RTO or University. The invitation is however open to all LIS students regardless of their study mode. We hope to provide an opportunity for students to get together, talk, meet each other and perhaps some of their teachers and lecturers if any of you can make it. The Melbourne events have been great so your help would be appreciated.
Students (and teachers/academics) can come together f2f to talk about their studies and their experiences and listen to the experience of others. It is a really exciting and generous offer by Sydney Library Service and hope you will support it by sending out the invitation and announcement to your students. Any staff/tutors/markers/adjuncts etc who may be in Sydney are also of course very welcome. You can see the attached invite copied below with details of time and place and suggested wording for any announcements included below..
You are of course very welcome to attend.
Mary
