Tue Nov 5 14:53:20 WST 2013

Hi,

Queensland university libraries are offering an opportunity to work in one of their member libraries for a year as part of their graduate program. The mentorship, contacts and networks that you would build make it a rare chance for a new graduate or someone about to graduate at the end of this semester.

There were no applications by the closing date so it is being re-advertised.

Dear colleagues,

If you could please recirculate. We have had no responses so far to the original email sent Oct 18. At this stage we will accept late entries.

The Queensland University Libraries Office of Cooperation (QULOC) is offering a new Librarian graduate the opportunity to work as a Librarian in its member institutions as part of the QULOC Graduate Librarian Program during 2014.

Would you please circulate the attached document calling for Expressions of Interest to Librarianship students who graduated in Semester 1, 2013 or will be graduating in Semester 2, 2013? The program is now entering its fifth year and continues to attract a high calibre of librarians.

Our experience of the QULOC Graduate Librarian Program has been very positive for both host institutions and the new Librarians involved in the Program.

The attached document outlines the Program and the selection process involved. There is some financial assistance available to eligible applicants via the QULOC Graduate Librarian Scholarship if they are required to commute or temporarily relocate to take up the position. Additional information is available at http://www.quloc.org.au/index.php/dds/?cat_id=1578#cat1578

I have also attached a poster advertising the Program.

Applications close 5.00pm, Thursday 7 November, 2013.

If you have any queries about the position, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
