if you know an individual or group that has demonstrated an outstanding<br>
contribution to the RIM industry why not nominate them.<br>

J Eddis Linton Awards<br>
<br>
For excellence in records and information management, recognise outstanding=
<br>
contributions to the profession in Australia and New Zealand in three<br>
categories:<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Ezescan Most Outstanding Group<br>
<br>
Aimed at RIM Professionals Australasia members who as a group have achieved=
<br>
RIM excellence and contributed highly to the profession, open to groups,<br=
>
committees (other than RIM Professionals Australasia committees), vendors,<=
br>
business units or consultants (whose work has not been performed for<br>
personal gain).<br>
<br>
This award can be self-nominated or nominated by another party.<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Information Proficiency Most Outstanding Individual<br>
<br>
Aimed at those members who have achieved excellence in RIM and contributed<=
br>
highly to the profession. Can be self-nominated or nominated by an<br>
independent person or group.<br>
<br>
If you feel you have - or know a RIM Professionals Australasia member who<b=
r>
has contributed significantly in the workplace or to the profession as a<br=
>
whole, you are urged to send in a nomination.<br>
<br>
The nominator is required to provide a summary in no more than 1000 words a=
s<br>
to why they are nominating. They may be required to meet with the awards<br=
>
judging panel, and may be asked to provide documentary evidence.<br>
<br>

Records Solutions Student of the Year<br>
<br>
Awarded to a student who has achieved excellence in educational studies in<=
br>
records and information management.<br>
<br>
Open to fulltime and part-time students who have completed a dedicated<br>
records and information management course in the previous 12 months (July t=
o<br>
June).<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Eligible nominations in each category will be shortlisted and the<br>
shortlisted nominees will receive a complimentary ticket to attend the RIM<=
br>
Professionals Gala Awards Dinner on Monday 9th September at the National<br=

convention Centre, Canberra. =A0The final winner in each category will rece=
ive<br>
a $500.00 Coles-Myer Gift Card and a plaque valued at $250.00.<br>

Jim Shepherd Awards<br>
<br>
The Jim Shepherd Award is awarded to vendors in recognition of vendor/trade=

support of RIM Professionals Australasia and in recognition of services to<=
br>
the records and information management industry.<br>
<br>
Previous winners include Tower Software, Objective Corporation and Recall.<=
br>
<br>
A nominee must demonstrate:<br>
<br>
. A minimum of five years continuous sponsorship of RIM Professionals<br>
Australasia at both Branch and National level (sponsorship can be financial=
<br>
or 'in kind').<br>
<br>
. Active involvement in advancing the records management industry.<br>
<br>
. Their product or service must be specific to the records/information<br>
management industry.<br>
<br>
. Must be a Corporate Member of RIM Professionals Australasia.<br>
<br>
. Applications covering these criteria and demonstrating the company's<=
br>
suitability must be submitted by either an individual RIM Professionals<br>
Australasia member (who does not work for the company) or by a Branch<br>
Council, Chapter or SIG of RIM Professionals Australasia.<br>
<br>
. Self nominations will be accepted, but must be endorsed by a professional=
<br>
RIM Professionals Australasia member who does not work for the company.<br>
<br>
. The nominator is required to provide details of the nominee, incorporatin=
g<br>
the award criteria, in no less than 1,000 words.<br>

The winner will be announced at the RIM Professionals Australasia Gala<br>
Awards Dinner being held in Canberra on Monday, 9th September 2013 and will=
