About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and passionate individual to coordinate the planning, establishment and ongoing operations of the state of the art district Baldivis Library and Community Centre.  Due to be commissioned in March 2014, you will launch the Centre as a vibrant focal point within the Baldivis Town Centre.

Experienced in both librarianship and community development, you also possess a tertiary qualification in either of these disciplines.  You have a contemporary understanding of how libraries help build strong communities and will bring together the essential elements, empowering a fast growing, diverse community to utilise modern day technology and link to information and knowledge.

This role offers you the opportunity to apply your strong leadership, coordination and organisational skills in a Centre designed to build community capacity.  Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to develop and strengthen partnerships with a range of community organisations and ultimately ensure the Centre is marketed to attract a variety of events that respond to, and anticipate, community needs.

What we can offer
A cash salary of $78,416   per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
