Hi Chris and Pauline,
This Public Sector panel, as advertised at the end of this email, may be of interest to your students. I would greatly appreciate it if you could promote this.
On an aside, the occupational booklet will also be forwarded next week with the suggested amendments.
Kind Regards,

Job opportunities for Humanities students
Set yourself up with a paid job in your field before you finish your degree, with a graduate program in the WA public sector
There are 14 government departments within the WA public sector that provide graduate programs, offering decent salaries and work conditions, for Humanities students with little or no experience.
Five panellists who are currently undertaking or have completed a graduate program within the public sector will be on campus in the Tim Winton Lecture Theatre this month, as part of National Career Development Week, to speak to students about securing a job in the WA public sector.
Date
Wednesday 16th May
Time
12-2pm (including time for informal networking)
Venue
Building 213:104 (Tim Winton Lecture Theatre)
Curtin University, Kent Street, Bentley
RSPV
Register to attend through CareersConnect<https://portal.curtin.edu.au/http:/sm-portal.curtin.edu.au:8910/careerhub_sso/login>
The visitors will speak in an open forum with you about
* what attracted them to a career in the public sector
* top tips for making yourself a standout candidate
* the benefits of working for the public sector, and
* what they have enjoyed most about their career journey to date.
Erin McGlew. Employment and Skills Development Assistant will also provide an overview to applying for graduate programs within the Western Australian public sector.
