Subject: NEW NORCIA STUDIES DAY - 26th MAY 2012

Dear Friends, I just wanted to let you know we still have places for the NEW NORCIA STUDIES DAY on the 26th May, but we will have to start letting the caterers know soon how many people will be coming to lunch.

The hotel is doing lunch again this year – those of you who came last year (and the year before) will remember the fabulous lunch that the hotel staff laid on for us. But, quite apart from the lunch, there will be some fascinating talks from Prof Bob Reece on the Aboriginal cricket teams, Fr Bernard on his research into Aboriginal languages, Robin Faulkner and the Battye Library’s early role in the Monastery’s photo collection and Dr Christine Choo’s groundbreaking work on creating a New Norcia genealogical database.

If you are thinking of coming to this, the 20th Annual New Norcia Studies Day, could you please let the Archivist know either by email (archives at newnorcia.wa.edu.au<mailto:archives at newnorcia.wa.edu.au>), phone (9654 8018) or fax (9654 8097) as soon as you can – better still, do it now!
