Hi WAINers

The new Cannington Library (replacing our Queens Park brch) opens in September, with expanded hours and services.
Three part-time positions as Circulation Clerks (aka Shelvers, more or less) have been advertised.
If there are library studies students interested, these are a useful introduction to basic public library operations, and handy on the CV for the future.

CIRCULATION CLERKS
(Part Time)

The City of Canning Library Services is seeking three customer-oriented people to fill the role of Circulation Clerk at the new Cannington Library, which will open within the Cannington Leisureplex in September 2012. The positions involve mainly customer service on the circulation desk, and the shelving of returned loans. Each position is for 19.25 hours per fortnight and successful applicants will be willing to work most of these hours during evenings and weekends, as well as being able to do occasional extra hours as required.

A starting salary of $25.96 per hour (plus 50% loading on Sunday) is offered, as well as up to 13.5% superannuation.
