Roxby Downs has a vacancy for a professional librarian.

The Roxby Downs Community Library is a joint use facility operated by the Roxby Downs Council and the Roxby Downs Area School. Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced people for the position of Community Librarian. The Community Librarian and the school's Teacher Librarian work together to jointly manage the library service. The Community Librarian is responsible for the community segment of the library service and for ensuring that the recreational, cultural and informational needs of our growing, multicultural community are met. This position also supervises 3 part time community library assistants. Roxby Downs currently has a population of around
4,500 but this is set to increase rapidly in the coming years if the proposed expansion of the Olympic Dam mine is approved. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a team working at the forefront of community development in a rapidly growing multicultural community and to shape the future development of the community library service.
