Hi Everyone

Further to the information below 'The machine that made us' is also available on DVD from the ABC shop. I saw it when it was SBS a couple of years ago and it is worth watching. On another note Stephen Fry was a guest driver on Top Gear not a host. He does however host QI which is again a great show.

Dear all

A fellow student passed this onto me to share with you:

http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/machine-that-made-us/

Watched this great documentary on the History channel last night it was called the machine that made us and was hosted by Stephen Fry (Top Gear).

surprisingly considering his background it was about the Gutenburg Press and he went as far as to find someone who has built one, make the movable type pieces and create paper from scratch with linen and print onto it.

Seems it was a once off on foxtel but this link says you can watch it free online, its broken into 6 parts unfortunately but says its the full doco.

thought some might like to see it too
