You may have already heard that our beloved friend, entertainer and song-writer - Nat Ripepi is fighting ovarian cancer.

Just 9 weeks ago Nat had to undergo massive life-threatening surgery to remove the cancer which unfortunately had spread from her ovaries to several other organs including her diaphragm and liver.

This extensive "debulking" surgery has only ever been performed on one other person in WA and fortunately Nat was strong enough to make it through. But now Nat faces a long road ahead. A road full of chemotherapy appointments, financial and emotional stress. Nat has just started chemotherapy a few weeks ago.

While we can't help her medically, we can support Nat emotionally and financially. As you are aware, Nat's main source of income is via her gigs. She will be unable to perform for at least the next 6 months and unfortunately she will possibly lose many of the regular gigs she has worked so hard to secure. So how can we all help? Nat needs at least $6000 over this period to be able to cover medical and ongoing living expenses..

So - We are holding a benefit gig to help fundraise this money for her and we'd love you to come along and support Nat and this great cause.

When: Sunday 4th December 2011 - Doors Open at 5pm
Where: The Bakery, Northbridge
Cost: $10- $50 - sliding scale - whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.
