Please see attached the finalised program for the Australian Digital Alliance Policy Forum on 4 March 2011. 

 

The theme of the forum is 'righting the imbalance of copyright law', with the aim of setting a copyright agenda for the forthcoming 2-3 years. It is an opportunity to reach a consensus amongst copyright users to prioritise and focus the ADA's advocacy efforts and to stimulate the copyright debate.

Key notes will be delivered by a government representative (to be confirmed) on the government's copyright policy and reform agenda for 2011, and by Dr Nicholas Gruen, ADA Patron, on noncontroversial reforms to the law which can lead to substantial gains.

 

Please see attached a flyer explaining the format and objective of the forum and background information on the issues that will be discussed by panels of experts: safe harbours, the iiNet case, general exceptions, orphan works and introducing flexibility to the Copyright Act.

The cost of attending the forum is:

§    Members-free for two people per membership, additional attendees will cost $80 each.

§    Non-members-$80 per person.

§    Individuals-may elect to join the ADA for 2011 by paying the standard individual membership fee of $110, which will include free admission to the forum.
