The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) is Australia's corporate, markets and financial services regulator. ASIC contributes to Australia's economic reputation and wellbeing by ensuring that its financial markets are fair and transparent, supported by confident and informed investors and consumers.
ASIC's Information Resource Centre Team (IRC) plays a critical role in delivering information, records management and Intelligence gathering services nationally. Reporting to the Senior Executive Specialist, the Senior Manager will lead the team with setting the strategic direction for the delivery of information and research, intelligence gathering and records management services to ASIC.
ASIC's records are increasingly managed electronically and we are seeking innovative individuals who have had experience working in a public service or legal organisation to move the team forward.
This could be your opportunity to:
. Lead a team of staff delivering professional library and information
management services that are cost effective and that meet business needs.
. Drive the implementation of more electronic services and records
management arrangements including the cultural change elements necessary to achieve this.
. Develop and maintain Information Management policies, processes,
systems
and specialist information tools that are leading edge and that drive best practice.
Tertiary qualifications in information management and experience with Objective ECM, SirsiDynix Library Management, Lotus Notes applications or similar systems will be highly regarded but strong leadership skills will be essential to succeed in this role.
This position is a Designated Security Assessed position and requires successful National Security clearance. Australian citizenship is also required.
