CALL FOR ABSTRACTS NOW OPEN

The Organising Committee of the ALIA National Library and Information
Technicians Conference 2011 invites you to participate by submitting an
abstract relating to our theme outlined below.

Library Technicians work in an industry in which clients expect
excellent service from highly skilled staff, delivered in a timely and
professional manner. As we confront new challenges and embrace emerging
technologies, we need to ensure these industry basics are firmly
embedded in the service we deliver to our clients.

Back to Basics aspires to provide a program to stimulate discussion,
challenge ideas and encourage new thinking. The three Program Streams
that reflect and support our theme will allow us to re-examine who we
are and what we do, and explore the future of our industry.

Submissions are invited from Library and Information Professionals,
Researchers, Educators and Students and may be an oral or workshop
presentation. Proposals that address the streams of Personal
Development, Professional Development or Client Services are encouraged
for submission.

For further details on suggested topics and submission guidelines please
