Dear Colleagues

 

The Canterbury earthquake has affected New Zealand's largest South
Island city. Damage to buildings and infrastructure is wide spread. Our
library colleagues in the region have a huge job to reinstate their
collections and services. Some libraries will take a lot longer than
others to re-open.

Not only have our library colleagues their work places to re-organise
but many will have had damage to their homes and property as well.

 

On behalf of the Special Library Association  Australia New Zealand
chapter I would like to extend an offer of any assistance that may be
needed by our colleagues in the affected region. 

 

The New Zealand Red Cross has a Secure website for the Canterbury
Earthquake Appeal at:

Or donations can be made to any branch of Post Shop Kiwibank, ANZ,
National, ASB, BNZ and TSB throughout New Zealand
