Subject: Records Management Duties - Temporary
Hello Pauline, nice to talk to you. The Shire of Laverton has an air
conditioned sea container in our Shire depot which has a considerable
amount of records (a lot) all boxed up. Many of these records are due to
follow the procedure of being disposed of as they have reached that
date. We have no one here who has any expertise in that area and need to
engage some qualified personnel who are able to carry out the necessary
steps in that process. There are also records stored in our strong room
which need to be processed, boxed up and relocated down to the sea
container for long term storage. We are looking at what resources Curtin
may have to assist us in this process. Probably two people for at least
a week, possible two weeks would suffice as we could keep them occupied
for that time with other records associated duties. We have two bedroom
air conditioned transit flat which is available for the personnel, meals
could be either prepared by themselves (Shire to supply a purchase order
for the supermarket) or they could eat at the hotel at our expense. We
would have to fly them up here and back. Salary would be as per the
Local Government Officer's (Western Australia) Award 1999 at a Level 3.4
at $38,203 pa, plus Laverton Location Allowance of $933.20 pa plus 20%
casual rate (All pro rata). Happy to answer any questions that may arise
and look forward to some feed back.
I would also need to have our consultant (Gaynor Deal from IRIS) conduct
a brief interview with any respondents to ensure that they are capable
of carrying out exactly what we want.
Regards
Peter Crawford
