CONTRACT RECORDS OFFICER - PART TIME OPPORTUNITY

 

Record Management Officer (HEW 4)

Records & Archives Management Services (RAMS)

Joondalup Campus

 

A short term opportunity exists for a Records Officer at Edith Cowan
University Joondalup Campus.  The position is for six (6) months and the
successful applicant is required to work 2 days per week (15 hours).
The successful applicant will be required to:

 

*	Provide advice, guidance and support to staff within the
Faculty/Centre on routine matters relating to records management and
archives services, including using the records management system to
classify, index and register files and correspondence. 

*	Act as the first point of contact for an allocated client
portfolio within the Faculties/Centres and provide advice and support on
the administration of records management; 
*	Act as the liaison point between Faculties/Centres and the RAMS
Centre on all operational matters associated with specific issues. 
*	Collaborate with Faculty/Centre staff to ensure records
management practices are effective and comply with appropriate
legislation and University policy. 
*	In consultation with the Senior Records Management Officer and
RAMS trainers, educate/train staff in records management practices and
systems to ensure compliance with University policies; 
*	Assist the client to implement, monitor, and evaluate
operational improvement initiatives within the Faculty/Centre. 
*	Prepare routine reports or provide information to
Faculties/Centre management on agreed records management standards and
make recommendations for improvements. 
*	Support and provide advice on the management of inactive and
temporary records for the Faculty/Centre. 
*	Be a competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel. 

 

The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training in the use
of the University record keeping system (TRIM Context) including
electronic document management.
