Vacancy 	Casual Records Project Officer (x2)
   	3 Months Full Time
		University Information Management 

University Information Management provides innovative and relevant
information management services to the Curtin community.
We are responsible for the development and maintenance of Curtin's
systems for managing electronic documents, web content and paper records
to make sure that information is available, accessible and preserved for
as long as it is needed, no matter what format it's in. 

We are looking for 2 full time Records Project Officers to join the
Inactive Records Project team until December 2009.  These positions will
work under the supervision of the Archives Coordinator to complete a
range to duties to appraise, register and transfer to storage a backlog
of unprocessed inactive records held in University Information
Management custody. 

The position will involve the use of Curtin's approved Disposal
Authorities to sentence records and prepare them for either transfer to
storage or authorised destruction.

Essential 
*	Completion or progress towards a diploma or certificate level
qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent combination of
relevant experience and training is essential 
*	Effective analytical and problem solving skills are essential 
Desirable
*	Knowledge of MS office suite of products is essential
*	Experience in the appraisal and sentencing of inactive records
is desirable but not essential

Recent Information Management graduates or current students looking for
an opportunity to gain work experience are encouraged to apply.
Part-time arrangements may be negotiated.
  
Position Information 
G03 Casual (Level 3 $24.92 per hour)
