Dear all
Fyi
Kerry
Casual Project Officer wanted for a metadata improvement project on the
Curtin website.
Curtin's flow project is establishing easier and better ways for people
to find, use, share and keep information at Curtin. One of the current
initiatives of flow is to improve the metadata on Curtin's website to
make it easier for people to find information when using the website's
search function. We are looking for a motivated individual to join the
flow team on a paid casual basis between 31 March and 23 May 2008 (with
a possible extension to 30 June 2008) to help content owners review and
improve the metadata on their web pages. This will involve meeting with
staff from different areas on a one-on-one basis to review metadata
reports and help them define appropriate titles, keywords, descriptions
and other metadata elements for their web pages. The implementation of
the revised metadata will be performed by Curtin IT Services.
If you have an interest in information retrieval and like working with
people, this would be a great way of getting some practical experience
and some extra money without having to leave campus! Hours per week will
vary according to your availability and the level of demand from areas,
and working hours will be flexible to fit around study and other
commitments. Please send through your CV and a brief statement
indicating why you are interested in this position to
mailto:kye.odonnell at curtin.edu.au by Tuesday 18 March 2008.
Kind Regards,
