Dear all
I've added the affiliations in CAPS. Check out the Sharr Medal website
to see if you might be a contender for the award at the end of this
year: http://www.alia.org.au/awards/merit/sharr.medal/
Cheers
Kerry

Dear all
The F A Sharr Medal is awarded to the graduand who has just completed
their final year of a library and information degree or diploma or is in
their first year of employment and exhibits the most potential and is
most likely to have a positive impact on their preferred stream of the
library profession.
For your information the winner of the 2007 Sharr Medal as announced at
the Sharr Medal event last week is:
Jessica Shortis - CURTIN UNIVERSITY
As we had a very competitive field of candidates this year the ALIAWest
Committee decided, that in addition to awarding the medal, we would make
two highly commended awards to:
Naomi Gorrie - ? ECU
Karen Rickman - CURTIN UNIVERSITY
Congratulations to Jessica, Naomi and Karen and thank you to everyone
involved in awarding the medal and organising and attending the event.
Photos and more information about the event will be posted to the Biblia
blog as soon as possible.
Kind regards
Jill
2008 ALIAWest Convenor
(on behalf of the ALIAWest Committee)
